LSU looks to close down the College World Series by reaching the mountaintop of college baseball come nightfall.

Standing in the way of the sixth-ranked Tigers, however, is No. 13 Coastal Carolina.

Following a Kade Anderson complete-game shutout to take a 1-0 lead in the championship series, LSU is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. ET first pitch vs. Coastal Carolina in Game 2 of the CWS championship series at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Tigers are looking to add to their trophy case in Baton Rouge with their second CWS title in three years under Jay Johnson. Kevin Schnall’s Chanticleers are looking to force Game 3 of the best-of-three championship series on June 23. Coastal Carolina holds an 8-3 record this season when coming off a loss.
