Hard-throwing righty Wikelman Gonzalez became the third ex-Red Sox prospect from the Garrett Crochet trade to make the majors when the White Sox called him up Friday.

Chief baseball officer Craig Breslow has traded 15 prospects since last year’s trade deadline. Here’s a look at how they are all doing:

Kyle Teel: The 23-year-old catcher was traded to the White Sox for Garrett Crochet on Dec. 11, 2024.

Teel began the season with Triple-A Charlotte where he batted .295 with a .394 on-base percentage, .492 slugging percentage, .886 OPS, eight homers, 10 doubles, one triple, 30 RBIs, 34 runs, 30 walks and 54 strikeouts in 50 games (213 plate appearances).

He was called up to Chicago on June 5. He’s 7-for-29 (.241) with a .378 on-base percentage, .276 slugging percentage, .654 OPS, one RBI, one double, three runs, six walks and 12 strikeouts in 11 games for the White Sox.

Braden Montgomery: The 22-year-old outfielder was traded to the White Sox for Garrett Crochet on Dec. 11, 2024. He began the season with Low-A Kannapolis where he batted .304 with a .393 on-base percentage, .493 slugging percentage, .886 OPS, three home runs, four doubles, 19 RBIs, 14 runs, 10 walks and 19 strikeouts in 18 games (84 plate appearances). He has a .266/.346/.467/.813 line with six home runs, 12 doubles, two triples, 27 RBIs, 21 runs, 19 walks and 37 strikeouts in 45 games (191 plate appearances) for High-a Winston-Salem.

Chase Meidroth: The 23-year-old second baseman was traded to the White Sox for Garrett Crochet on Dec. 11, 2024. He made his MLB debut April 11. He’s batting .268 with a .352 on-base percentage, .325 slugging percentage, .677 OPS, two homers, five doubles, nine RBIs, 23 runs, nine steals, 25 walks and 33 strikeouts in 53 games (219 plate appearances).

Meidroth began the season with Triple-A Charlotte where he batted .267 with a .450 on-base percentage, .600 slugging percentage, 1.050 OPS, three homers, one double, four RBIs, 11 runs, eight walks and five strikeouts in nine games (40 plate appearances).

Wikelman Gonzalez: The 23-year-old righty was traded to the White Sox for Garrett Crochet on Dec. 11, 2024. He was promoted to the White Sox on Friday. He pitched 2 innings and allowed one run, one hit and two walks while striking out two in his MLB debut Friday.

He went 5-2 with a 3.50 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 16 outings (four starts) between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte. Opponents batted .176 against him. He had control issues with the Red Sox and those have continued. He had 39 strikeouts and 29 walks in 36 innings.

Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz: The 21-year-old righty was traded to the Yankees for catcher Carlos Narváez on Dec. 11, 2024. He’s 5-2 with a 2.59 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 12 outings (11 starts) for High-A Hudson Valley. Opponents are batting just .174 against him. He has 78 strikeouts and 28 walks in 66 innings.

Nick Yorke: The 23-year-old second baseman/outfielder was traded to the Pirates on July 29, 2024 for pitcher Quinn Priester who the Red Sox dealt with the Brewers in April.

York has spent this entire season with Triple-A Indianapolis. He’s batting .273 with a .336 on-base percentage, .382 slugging percentage, .718 OPS, four homers, 10 doubles, one triple, 24 RBIs, 28 runs, nine steals, 21 walks and 56 strikeouts in 58 games (241 plate appearances). He made his major league debut last Sept. 16 and went 8-for-37 (.216) with two homers in 11 games for the Pirates.

Ovis Portes: The 20-year-old right-handed pitcher was traded to the Reds for reliever Lucas Sims on July 30, 2024. The hard-thrower has pitched in 11 games (seven starts) for Low-A Daytona. He’s 1-1 with a 5.68 ERA and 1.70 WHIP. Opponents are batting just .211 against him but he has had control issues. He has 23 walks and 27 strikeouts in 25 ⅓ innings.

Moises Bolivar: The 17-year-old infielder was traded to the Dodgers for James Paxton on July 26, 2024. He is 23-for-104 (.221) with a .319 on-base percentage, .269 slugging percentage, .588 OPS, one homer, two doubles, five RBIs, 14 runs, 13 walks, 28 strikeouts and two steals in 29 games (119 plate appearances) for the Arizona Complex League Dodgers (rookie ball).

Ryan Zeferjahn: The 27-year-old righty was traded to the Angels for reliever Luis García on July 30, 2024. He’s 4-1 with a 4.61 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 14 holds, one save, 14 walks and 33 strikeouts in 32 games (27 ⅓ innings). Opponents are batting .240 against him.

Yeferson Vargas: The 20-year-old righty was traded to the Angels for reliever Luis García on July 30, 2024. He has made 13 starts for Low-A Inland Empire. He’s 4-4 with a 4.28 ERA and 1.65 WHIP. Opponents are batting .273 against him. He has allowed 31 walks and struck out 47 in 54 ⅔ innings.

Niko Kavadas: The 26-year-old first baseman was traded to the Angels for reliever Luis García on July 30, 2024. He made his major league debut last year for the Angels and appeared in 25 games for them. He has appeared in just one major league game this year, going 0-for-1. He’s with Triple-A Salt Lake right now. He’s batting .237 with a .388 on-base percentage, .449 slugging percentage, .837 OPS, 13 homers, 11 doubles, one triple, 43 RBIs, 39 runs, 51 walks and 97 strikeouts in 68 games (307 plate appearances).

Matthew Lugo: The 24-year-old outfielder was traded to the Angels for reliever Luis García on July 30, 2024. He made his major league debut May 9. He has appeared in 17 games for the Angels this year. He’s 10-for-42 (.238) with a .256 on-base percentage, .548 slugging percentage, .804 OPS, three homers, two doubles, one triple, six RBIs, six runs, no walks and 16 strikeouts in the majors. He’s playing for Triple-A Salt Lake right now. He has a .207/.278/.352/.630 line with five homers, 11 doubles, one triple, 20 RBIs, 27 runs, 16 walks and 63 strikeouts in 46 games (212 plate appearances).

Gilberto Batista: The 20-year-old righty was traded to the Blue Jays on July 27, 2024 for catcher Danny Jansen. He’s 3-4 with a 2.98 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 13 outings (eight starts) for Low-A Dunedin. Opponents are batting .252 against him. He has struck out 51 while walking 11 in 57 ⅓ innings.

Cutter Coffey: The 21-year-old third baseman was traded to the Blue Jays on July 27, 2024 for catcher Danny Jansen. He’s batting .278 with a .352 on-base percentage, .412 slugging percentage, .764 OPS, five homers, 14 doubles, 36 RBIs, 40 runs, 23 walks and 68 strikeouts in 54 games (244 plate appearances) for High-A Vancouver.

Eddinson Paulino: The 22-year-old middle infielder was traded to the Blue Jays on July 27, 2024 for catcher Danny Jansen. He is batting .244 with a .314 on-base percentage, .429 slugging percentage, .743 OPS, six homers, nine doubles, two triples, 18 RBIs, 19 runs, 14 walks and 48 strikeouts in 50 games (185 plate appearances) for Double-A New Hampshire.
