NEW SHARON — North Mahaska scored 14 runs on 15 hits Thursday against Lynnville-Sully, but hits and runs were not forthcoming Friday when HLV/Ti-County came to town. The visiting Warriors scored three runs in the first inning then added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth en route to a 5-3 victory.
HLV/Tri-County outhit the Warhawks 8-6 and took advantage of three Warhawk miscues. The Warriors got on the board in the top of the first inning when Ema Roberts reached on an error and stole second then scored after Ayla Hall singled. Reagan Molyneux walked and Erilea Kupka flew out moving the runners up a base. Hall and Molyneux would eventually score.
