WORCESTER, Mass. – Shrewsbury native and former St. John’s baseball star just finished umpiring his 7th NCAA Division 1 Baseball Regional playoffs and 4th Super Regionals, it’s an honor to do such high level games and it’s exciting too. Â “Yeah it’s very exciting we get teams from all over the United States getting together,” Â said Marine, “some teams you’ve never seen before so it’s exciting to see other schools that you may not do. Â For instance I work in the Big 10 and Big 12 and the Coastal Conference, the CAA so I see those teams during the year but rarely do I see ACC or SEC teams so doing those teams in the Regionals and Super Regionals it’s a fun thing to see, different teams and more importantly different umpires. Â You work with different different umpires that you just don’t work with.”
