GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Go back to 2023 and witness the high ceiling and potential of Karson Bowen as he battled Florida during the College World Series. While the Gators triumphed in a 3-2 victory over Bowen and TCU.
Amazing how it comes full circle as Bowen transfer to the Gators. Late last week, the catcher/first baseman made it official as he joins the highly competitive SEC conference.
Bowen had impressive career numbers during his three years with the Horned Frogs. He hit .308, 16 home runs, three triples, 33 doubles and 112 RBI’s.
However, like with Trinity Christian’s Aaron Watson. Bowen is draft-eligible and could be drafted in July.
Bowen is the sixth transfer for Florida this season along with three pitchers like UCF’s Russell Sandefer, Hawaii’s Cooper Walls and Notre Dame’s Ricky Reeth.
