(Minneapolis, MN)–The Minnesota Twins snapped a five-game losing streak with a 2-0 win over the Seattle Mariners at Target Field yesterday. (Wednesday) Willi Castro broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth, and Kody Clemens went deep in the seventh to give Minnesota some insurance. Joe Ryan earned his eighth win after striking out eight and allowing three hits in six scoreless innings. Minnesota is tied for third place in the AL Central at 38-and-42.Â
The Twins will send Simeon Woods Richardson to the mound against Seattle this afternoon. Â
