Brock Wilken’s resurgent season has been put on hold for now.
The 23-year-old third baseman, ranked as the Milwaukee Brewers‘ 15th-best prospect, will be sidelined eight to 10 weeks as he recovers from a dislocated left patella.

Wilken suffered the injury June 18 in the wake of the Class AA Biloxi Shuckers’ first-half championship, as he slipped in the clubhouse during the team’s celebration.
A surgical option was available, but both player and team decided against it.

Wilken bounced back from a rough 2024 that included surgery to fix multiple fractures after he was hit in the face by a pitch early in the year.
In 2025 he was hitting .230 with 18 home runs, 41 runs batted in and an OPS of .942 in 65 games. At the time of his injury, Wilken’s 18 homers were tied for the most in all of minor-league baseball.
Blake Perkins getting closer
In some good injury related news, outfielder Blake Perkins had his minor-league rehab stint transferred to Class AAA Nashville on Thursday, June 26.

He was activated to play at Jacksonville.
A standout defender who was a finalist for the Rawlings National League Gold Glove Award in center field, Perkins missed almost all of spring training due to a fractured right tibia and hit .389 with two RBI in seven games in the rookie Arizona Complex League.
