The Terre Haute-based Rex won their third straight Prospect League baseball game Thursday night as they slipped by the Lafayette Aviators 9-7 at Loeb Stadium.
The Rex plated a run in the first inning, four in the fourth and two in both the fifth and sixth innings. But Lafayette answered with three in the bottom of the sixth and four in the bottom of the eighth to pull within two, but the Rex escaped victorious.
