The Orioles will have a chance at landing two starting spots in this year’s MLB All-Star Game after designated hitter Ryan O’Hearn and second baseman Jackson Holliday both advanced Thursday to the second phase of voting.

O’Hearn, aided by the Rafael Devers trade from the Boston Red Sox to the San Francisco Giants, leads American League DHs with 1,762,125 votes, well ahead of the New York Yankees’ Ben Rice (674,120). Holliday (1,302,186) trails Gleyber Torres of the Detroit Tigers (1,981,665) but earned enough votes to make it into the final round as well.

All vote totals will reset and the top two recipients at each position will go head-to-head in a fresh round of fan voting, which runs from noon Monday through noon Wednesday, to determine the starting lineups of each league. The 95th All-Star Game is July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Yankees superstar Aaron Judge and Los Angeles Dodgers two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani have already locked in starting spots as the top vote getters in each league. The starting lineups will be announced at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and full rosters will be revealed at 5 p.m. on July 6. Both announcements will be aired on ESPN.
