All-Metro baseball first team
Skidmore
P:Â Eli Skidmore, senior, Francis Howell
The ace on a staff for a team that won 34 games and shared the rugged Gateway Athletic Conference South Division title. The University of Missouri commit led the Vikings in wins (7), innings pitched (46 2/3) and strikeouts (60). He posted a 1.01 WHIP, limited opponents to a .169 batting average and gave up only five extra-base hits. A first-team all-state selection. In his final pitching performance for the Vikings, Skidmore outdueled future Mizzou teammate Camden Lohman of Fort Zumwalt North, throwing 5 2/3 shutout innings and striking out a season-high 11 in the first round of the Class 6 District 4 tournament. Totaled 13 wins and 114 strikeouts in three years for Howell.

Dohrmann
P: JD Dohrmann, senior, Vianney
Pitched the Golden Griffins back to the state title game. Was undefeated on the mound while helping lead Vianney to 38 wins this season. Dohrmann posted a 7-0 record and a 1.01 ERA in 48 2/3 innings pitched. The University of Missouri commit led the team with 62 strikeouts and allowed only 12 walks. In his best outing of the year, he pitched a complete-game shutout against Lafayette on May 17 while tallying 10 strikeouts. In a Class 5 state semifinal victory, he collected his final win by going 6 2/3 innings and striking out six while giving up two earned runs in a win over Marshfield.Â
Waltenberger
C: Max Waltenberger, senior, Edwardsville
In the middle of the regional champion Edwardsville lineup, he tallied 28 RBI with six doubles, two home runs and one triple. The first-team All-Southwestern Conference catcher posted a .376 batting average with a .527 slugging percentage. He only committed four errors from behind the plate and turned one double play. Helped the Tigers win the conference championship for the sixth successive season.
Jozwiakowski
IF: Trey Jozwiakowski, senior, Vianney
An integral part of Vianney’s success. The Central Missouri commit and all-state selection tallied 31 RBI and four home runs for the Class 5 runner-up Griffins. He tallied a .393 batting average with a .652 slugging percentage with a team-high 15 doubles and one triple. He worked 22 walks while in the heart of the lineup. Also had a 7-1 record on the mound with a .58 ERA in 24 1/3 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts and five walks.
Terhaar
IF: Justin Terhaar, senior, Father McGivney
Third baseman ranked fourth among area players with a .521 batting average. Helped power an offense that collected a program-record 38 wins and a runner-up Class 1A state tournament finish, the second in program history. His 52 RBI ranked second among area hitters. He totaled 62 hits, nine doubles and one triple. A Class 1A first-team all-state selection, Terhaar stole 37 bases and was only caught four times. Committed only four errors and helped turn two double plays.
Sissom
IF: Nolan Sissom, junior, Fort Zumwalt West
The GAC South player of the year, Sissom was one of the most consistent fielders and dangerous hitters in the area. The shortstop led the Jaguars to a Class 6 fourth-place finish with a .439 batting average and .785 slugging percentage. He scored 37 runs and collected 47 hits with 20 doubles, four triples and three home runs. He was second on the team with 32 RBI and stole 12 bases. Missouri Class 6 first-team all-state selection. Committed only five errors.
Seipp
IF: Keegan Seipp, sophomore, Triad
Exploded onto the scene in a big way. Second for Knights in RBI (44), batting average (.359), hits (46) and slugging percentage (.609). He scored 28 runs as Triad earned third-place finish in Class 3A and 35 wins (both bests in program history). Went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and six RBI against Collinsville on April 8. In state semifinal loss to eventual Class 3A champion Burbank St. Laurence, he went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and one home run.
Schneider
OF: Jordan Schneider, junior, Parkway South
A first-team all-state selection in Missouri Class 6, Schneider helped guide the Patriots to the state semifinals for the first time since 1999. He powered the offense with a .425 batting average, 10 doubles and two triples. He scored 35 times and led the team with 31 RBI. The Suburban Conference Red Pool tri-player of the year stole 14 bases. He posted a 4-2 record in 10 games started on the mound with a 2.50 ERA in 50 1/3 innings pitched. He led the team with 37 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .234 batting average. In his best start of the year, he tossed six innings against Jackson on May 30, agave up one run and struck out six.
Chiarodo
OF: Joseph Chiarodo, senior, Edwardsville
An Illinois Class 4A all-state first-team selection who has signed with the University of Alabama, Chiarodo returned from a season-ending injury last year with a vengeance. He led the Tigers in batting average (.496), slugging (.814), RBI (39), doubles (9), triples (3) and home runs (7). He scored 35 runs and stole 14 stolen bases without getting caught for the Southwestern Conference and regional champions. He also went 5-4 on the mound with two complete games and had a 2.16 ERA in 48 2/3 innings with a team-high 62 strikeouts. He limited opponents to just a .191 batting average and only allowed nine walks.
OF: Brian Gould, senior, MICDS
A Missouri Class 4 first-team all-state selection and Metro-League co-player of the year, Gould was the driving force behind a 20-win season for the Rams. MICDS won its second successive district title as Gould posted a .410 batting average and .735 slugging percentage. He scored 35 runs with six doubles, six triples and three home runs. On the mound he went 7-1 in nine starts with a .90 ERA in 31 innings pitched. He also had a team-high 58 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .162 batting average.
Goering
UT: Brenan Goering, senior, St. Charles West
Class 4 player of the year by Missouri Baseball Coaches Association. With the bat, he posted a .513 batting and .846 slugging percentage. He led West with four home runs, scored 29 runs and tallied 10 doubles. On the mound he had a 5-2 record in eight starts, including four complete games. He held a 1.01 ERA in 48 2/3 innings pitched. He had a team-high 80 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .147 batting average.
Gould
UT: Connor Blue, senior, O’Fallon
The area-leader in strikeouts (105), Blue helped power the Panthers to a regional title and a Class 4A sectional title game appearance. A Class 4A Illinois all-state first-team selection, he posted a 4-2 record in 12 games started with a 2.18 ERA in 57 2/3 innings pitched. The University of Cincinnati signee also was a terror with the bat. He had a team-high seven home runs and 51 RBI with a .434 batting average and .735 slugging percentage. He scored 30 runs and had 11 doubles and one triple.
All-Metro baseball second-team
P: Ahmad Muhammad, senior, John Burroughs
A Class 5Â second-team all-state selection, Muhammad was one of two area pitchers who recorded double-digits wins. He had a 10-1 record in 14 games pitched and a 2.09 ERA in 53 2/3 innings. He had a team-high 53 strikeouts and limited teams to a .170 batting average. He also had 18 RBI and .390 batting average.
P: Camden Lohman, senior, Fort Zumwalt North
A Class 6Â first-team all-state selection, Lohman was a force on the mound. In nine starts, he tossed four complete games and held a 5-1 record. He posted a .80 ERA in 44 innings pitched and logged a team-high 92 strikeouts. He limited teams to a .135 batting average and gave up only three extra-base hits. The University of Missouri-signee had a season-high 15 strikeouts in a conference win over Washington.
C: Brady Vessells, senior, Seckman
Led the team in most offensive categories, including batting average (.473), slugging (.824), hits (43), doubles (13), triples (2), home runs (5) and RBI (28). Helped the Jaguars to 15 wins and guided the pitching staff from behind the plate. Voted as a tri-player of the year for the Suburban Conference Red Pool.
IF: Brady Tanner, junior, Francis Howell
Posted a team-high .407 batting average. The Class 6 first-team all-state selection had eight doubles, one triple and 29 RBI. The second baseman led the Vikings in hits (50), stole 14 bases and scored 27 runs. In his best game of the season, he went 4 for 4 with four RBI and three runs scored against CBC on May 14.
IF: Will Geary, senior, Valley Park
The area leader with a .642 batting average. The Lindenwood University signee collected a team-high 52 hits and scored 58 runs to go along with 35 RBI and two home runs from the leadoff position. Helped the Hawks to a third successive district title and a sectional game win. He was also 2-0 on the mound with a 1.35 ERA in 10 1/3 innings pitched.
IF: Wyatt Schneider, junior, Summit
Third baseman helped Falcons to a third-place finish in Class 5 with a team-leading .349 batting average. Hit four home runs, three triples and eight doubles to go with 25 RBI. Had four games with three or more RBI, with a season high of four coming against Lafayette. Scored 29 runs and stole nine bases. A Class 5 first-team all-state selection. Defensively, had 22 putouts and 32 assists.
IF: Tommy Kramkowski, senior, Belleville East
A future Missouri State Bear, Kramkowski helped Lancers to their third 20-win campaign in four seasons. He posted a .381 batting average with 30 RBI. He had 12 extra-base hits and scored 24 runs. Posted a 4-4 record on the mound with a 2.02 ERA in 41 1/3 innings pitched. He had a team-high 54 strikeouts and held teams to a .167 batting average.
OF: Omar Avalos, sophomore, Father McGivney
The power bat at the top of a potent lineup, Avalos slammed his way to a team-high eight home runs. He had a .393 batting average and .730 slugging percentage with 39 RBI for a 38-win team that captured a Class 1A runner-up finish. He scored a team-high 58 runs and stole 33 bases, only getting caught once. He recorded 37 putouts and gunned out five from center field.
OF: Michael Wolff, sophomore, Fort Zumwalt West
An all-GAC South selection, Wolff was second on the team with a .419 batting average and scored 44 runs. He was second on the team with 37 RBI and totaled 15 doubles. Led team with 27 stolen bases without getting caught. Recorded 49 putouts in center field.
OF: Brady Nolen, senior, Festus
The beating heart of the Tigers’ lineup en route to a district title. A Class 5 second-team all-state selection, he led Festus in batting average (.495), slugging percentage (.951), runs (38), hits (51), doubles (13), triples (8), home runs (6) and RBI (29). He also had a team-high 25 stolen bases on 30 attempts. In four seasons with Festus, he collected 69 RBI.
UT: Brendan Pyle, junior, Fort Zumwalt West
Selected as an all-state utility player in Class 6. Had a team-high 40 RBI with a .252 batting average and tallied nine doubles. Totaled 18 stolen bases without getting caught. He was 9-1 on the mound with a 2.26 ERA in 49 2/3 innings pitched with two complete games. Led team with 56 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .232 batting average.
UT: Hunter Baugh, junior, Edwardsville
An Illinois Class 4A first-team all-state selection, Baugh was one of the best arms on a team loaded with them. Allowed only one earned run in 45 1/3 innings pitched. Finished season with 35 1/3 shutout innings and totaled a team-high seven wins. Struck out 38 and limited opposing hitters to a .186 batting average. Also hit for a .315 average with 15 RBI.
All-Metro baseball third-team
P: Ethan Martin, senior, Westminster
The Metro League co-player of the year, Martin helped Wildcats to 23 wins. He went 6-1 on the mound with a 1.13 ERA in 43 1/3 innings pitched with 44 strikeouts. With the bat, he posted a .414 average and .626 slugging percentage. Hit two home runs, five doubles and five triples to go along with 30 RBI.
P: Samuel Hart, senior, St. Louis Patriots
The area leader in wins (11), Hart helped the Patriots to 27 victories. He led team with 79 1/3 innings pitched and held a 1.41 ERA, only giving up four extra-base hits. Had eight complete games and struck out a team-high 83.
C: Charlie Wortham, senior, De Smet
The Mississippi State signee helped the Spartans to a district title. Led offense with five home runs and 28 RBI. Also posted a .322 batting average with 26 runs scored and a .667 slugging percentage. Stole five bases.
IF: Nolan Jaworowski, senior, Vianney
The power bat in a dangerous Golden Griffins lineup. The University of Cincinnati commit had 33 RBI and a team-high six home runs to go along with five doubles and three triples. Scored 41 runs and collected 39 hits.
IF: Keller Costello, senior, Marquette
Rockhurst University recruit collected 18 RBI with a .289 batting average and seven doubles. On the mound, posted a 5-1 record in eight games started with a 1.38 ERA in 50 2/3 innings pitched and team-high 68 strikeouts. Suburban Conference Yellow Pool pitcher of the year.
IF: Kannon Kamp, senior, Father McGivney
A Class 1A first-team all-state selection. Hit for a .417 average and .625 slugging percentage. Tallied 12 doubles, scored 53 runs and collected 37 RBI. Also posted team-high 8-1 record on mound with seven complete games and 1.94 ERA in 57 2/3 innings pitched with 54 strikeouts.
IF: Brennan Swindler, senior, St. Dominic
Helped Crusaders to a district title with his .386 batting average. Slugged .663 with six home runs, six doubles and two triples to go with a team-high 35 RBI. Scored 28 runs and stole nine bases as Crusaders notched third season of at least 20 wins in last four years.
OF: Gabe Sieve, senior, Summit
Led Falcons team with 33 RBI and posted a .315 batting average with a .423 slugging percentage. Had 10 doubles and scored seven runs. He was 5-1 on the mound in 12 games started. Collected three complete games and had a 2.02 ERA in a team-high 62 1/3 innings pitched.
OF: Bo Gomric, senior, Althoff
Named to Class 2A all-state team, Gomric was the battering ram in Crusaders lineup. Led the team with 29 RBI, a .500 batting average and 37 runs scored. He also hit four home runs, six triples and five doubles as part of 40 hits. Stole 25 bases.
OF: Jack Burle, senior, Duchesne
After getting bumped to Class 4, the Pioneers won another district title with Burle helping lead the way. Led team with a .412 batting average and scored a team-high 29 runs. Also hit three home runs, drove in 19 and hit 12 doubles.Â
UT: Nolan Keller, senior, Triad
Helped Triad return to state semifinals for first time since 2018 by going 9-2 on the mound with a 1.05 ERA in 60 innings pitched. Threw two complete games and struck out 49 while limiting opponents to a .186 average. Drove in 35 runs, hit four home runs and for a .303 average.
UT: Ben Lackey, junior, Eureka
Steady ace on first Wildcats team to reach a district final since 2015. Undefeated on the mound, going 3-0 in five starts with a .38 ERA in 37 1/3 innings. Totaled two complete games and collected a team-high 43 strikeouts.
Triad senior Hayden Bernreuter is the All-Metro baseball player of the year.
Mascoutah senior Austin Musso is the All-Metro baseball pitcher of the year.
