ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The Atlanta Braves open the first of a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night at Truist Park.
Bryce Elder (2-4, 4.77 ERA) takes the mound for Atlanta, opposing Mick Abel (2-1, 3.47 ERA) of the Phillies.
Nearing the end of a 13-game NL East stretch, Atlanta sits 10 games behind the NL East-leading New York Mets and second-place Philadelphia Phillies (0.5 games back).
Following this series against the Phillies, the Braves play nine games against American League opponents — Los Angeles Angels, Baltimore Orioles and Athletics — before wrapping up the first half of the season with a three-game series in St. Louis against the Cardinals.
