Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Brewers beat reporter Curt Hogg recently re-ranked the team’s top prospects 1-35. Here is how the 2025 list stacks up against the 2024 midseason list as well as the 11-part 1-15 offseason rankings from Hogg and fellow beat reporter Todd Rosiak.

You can read this year’s rankings here: Nos. 1-10, Nos. 11-20, No. 21-35.

Which Brewers prospects made biggest leap from midseason 2024 to 2025?

Among those with big leaps, infielder Jesús Made moved up to the highest spot in the new rankings, jumping 15 spots from No. 17 in 2024 to No. 2. He was No. 1 in our November rankings.

Infielder Luis Peña had a bigger leap, 19 spots from No. 22 to No. 3. He was No. 11 in November.

Right-hander Bishop Letson also leaped 19 spots, from No. 27 to No. 8. He was not among November’s top 15.

Outfielder Isaac Collins removed himself from prospect status, going from No. 32 on the ’24 list to locking down left field for the Brewers this season. It was technically not the biggest jump, but certainly noteworthy.

Also notable, as a 2024 draft pick of the Brewers, catcher Marco Dinges debuted on this year’s list at No. 7. Others debuting are mostly ’24 draft picks or international signees: Bryce Meccage (11), Braylon Payne (13), Josh Adamczewski (14), Tyson Hardin (16), Brailyn Antunez (17), Ethan Dorchies (19), Jadher Areinamo (21), Kenny Fenelon (23), Tyler Renz (24), Blake Burke (29), Anthony Siegler (32), Jaron Deberry (33) and Melvin Hernandez (35).

Which players slipped in the Brewers prospect rankings?

A lot can happen in a year, or even seven or eight months. Several players had double-digit slides from the ’24 list:

Brett Wichrowski (14 to 30)Eric Bitonti (13 to 27)Dylan O’Rae (20 to 34)Tyler Black (5 to 18, 7th in November)Yorman Galindez (15 to 28)Jorge Quintana (18 to 31)Brock Wilken (3 to 15, 10th in November)Josh Knoth (10 to 20, 15th in November)Who are noteworthy absences from the 2025 Brewers prospect list (besides Isaac Collins, that is)?

Left-hander Robert Gasser was ranked fourth at midseason 2024 and fifth in November. But between his time with the Brewers last season before suffering an elbow injury that required Tommy John surgery and his subsequent time on the major-league injured list, Gasser has accumulated more than a year’s worth of service time, enough to bump him from prospect status.

Outfielder Yophery Rodriguez, who was No. 8 last season and in November, was traded to the Boston Red Sox in April for right-hander Quinn Priester.

Although he is back at Class AAA Nashville now, last year’s No. 19 prospect, right-hander Tobias Myers, spent most of last season with the Brewers, as well as part of this season, and dropped from prospect status.
