The Lookouts received a strong performance from Kevin Abel in a 4-1 win over Pensacola. The Blue Wahoos answered with a 10-5 extra-innings win over Chattanooga in the second game of the doubleheader.

Abel put together one of his best starts of the year, throwing six innings, allowing just two hits and striking out six batters.

The Lookouts scored the first two runs in the game, thanks to an Edwin Arroyo single and Ethan O’Donnell double play.

After Pensacola cut Chattanooga’s lead to one in the following frame, the Lookouts doubled their run total with an RBI double from Noelvi Marte, with the team on a rehab assignment, and a Hector Rodriguez sacrifice fly.

Chattanooga wins Game 1, 4-1. Pensacola won the second game 10-5 in eight innings.

The Blue Wahoos take four out of five from the first-half Southern League North division champions.

The Lookouts will head to Birmingham for three games, before coming back home for three more with the Barons.
