Rangers 10, Orioles 2

Hey, that was a fun game!
All sorts of exciting things happened!
Justin Foscue broke his 0 for 44 streak! Alejandro Osuna had hit first major league home run! Jacob Latz had a three inning save!
And the Rangers scored lots of runs!
Jacob deGrom was quite good, of course, because he’s Jacob deGrom. He allowed a two run homer to Gary Sanchez, yes, but that was all the run scoring that was happening on his watch. Really, it was almost kind of a ho-hum night for deGrom…six innings, six Ks, one walk. Another Quality Start, his sixth in a row. His 14th straight game allowing two or fewer runs.
deGrom now has a 2.13 ERA on the season, tied for second in the American League with Max Fried.
The redoubtable Jacob Latz finished things out, giving the rest of the pen a much needed day off after all those extra inning games. Allowing two singles to the first two batters he faced, just to give Baltimore a false sense of hope, Latz then retired nine in a row to end the game.
Latz’s ERA on the year is now down to 2.81.
All the pitching stuff was great, but more excitingly, for those of us who have been lamenting the lack of offense, was the bats blowing up.
Every starter got a hit! Yes, even the starters that you were sure weren’t going to get a hit!
Ezequiel Duran? A double. Billy McKinney, who just was called up and put into the lineup at DH? A hit. Alejandro Osuna? Not just a hit, but a home run, the first of his major league career, and a shot that made it 5-2.
One of those games that makes you say, yes, the Rangers can play high level baseball! Now just do it more often!
Jacob deGrom topped out at 99.4 mph with his fastball, averaging 97.8 mph. Jacob Latz hit 95.3 mph with his fastball.
Corey Seager had a 110.2 mph double and a 106.7 mph double. Adolis Garcia had a 110.0 mph double. Alejandro Osuna’s homer was 108.9 mph off the bat, and he had a 103.9 mph ground out. Ezequiel Duran had a 106.5 mph double and a 101.3 mph fly out. Sam Haggerty had a 101.9 mph single. Marcus Semien had a 101.8 mph line out. Billy McKinney had a 101.4 mph line out. Jonah Heim had a 101.2 mph double . Justin Foscue had a 101.0 mph double. Josh Smith had a 100.6 mph ground out.
Let’s continue this sort of thing going forward for a while, hey?
