He won a spot in the rotation during the spring and has pitched well for the Giants, with the exception of a couple of clunkers. … He gave up just one unearned run in 5 1/3 innings against the White Sox in a start last week. … Roupp averages 92.7 mph with his sinker, but his best pitch is his curveball, which elicits a 39 percent whiff rate.
