Well, this stinks.
Anyone looking forward to Seattle Mariners baseball on Wednesday night against the Royals because of Cal Raleigh is going to be sorely disappointed.
For just the third time this season, Raleigh isn’t starting.

It’s a tough stretch for the Mariners, as this is the 12th of 17 days in a row with a game.
Mitch Garver gets the nod behind the dish, with Jorge Polanco at DH.

Raleigh pinch-hit in one of the prior two games he didn’t start in.
The big switch-hitting catcher leads MLB with 33 home runs and 71 RBI.
Maybe he needed this, though. On Tuesday night, Raleigh went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts, by far his worst game of the season.
But it’s still disappointing. Instead of watching Raleigh slug his way out of a slump, he’ll be plopped down on the bench.
