  • July 3, 2025

HARTFORD, CT (WBNG) — Binghamton traveled to Hartford for a doubleheader. Due to Tuesday’s game getting cancelled, both of these matchups were seven innings.

The Rumble Ponies were defeated 5-3 by the Yard Goats in the first matchup.

Mets LHP Sean Manaea started Game 1 in his rehab appearance. The 33-year-old gave up two earned runs and six hits in the three innings he pitched.

Binghamton’s Nick Morabito smashed a three-run homer in the third that put the team up 3-2.

Harford’s Nic Kent put the home squad ahead after hitting a two-run homer.

Mets relief pitcher Brooks Raley gave up no hits in the fifth inning while striking out two.

In Game 2, the Rumble Ponies had a 6-0 win.

Binghamton’s Carson Benge had the first home run of his AA career in the first inning.

Mets’ Jesse Winker demolished a three-run homer to right field in the seventh inning in his first rehab game. That was his lone hit in his four plate appearances.

The Ponies’ Joander Suarez only gave up a pair of hits in his six innings pitched. The 25-year-old also struck out four.

The two teams’ next matchup in Hartford is set for 6:10 p.m. on Thursday.
