The Texas Rangers scored six runs while the Baltimore Orioles scored zero runs.

Following the nightmarish string of extra innings games that plagued most of this homestand, the Rangers concluded this stretch of games at The Shed with their second easy victory in a row.

A big part of the victory being easy was Nathan Eovaldi was built up enough to pitch five innings after lasting just three frames in his rehab-less return from a monthlong stint on the shelf earlier in the homestand. With more bullets tonight, Eovaldi tossed five shutout innings while allowing just two hits and a walk as he picked up his fifth win of the season.

In support of Eovaldi, the Rangers scored six runs. After ten runs last night, it was just the sixth time all season that Texas has scored six or more runs in consecutive games, though they did score at least six runs in every game of this series.

To reach six runs, the Rangers collected eleven hits with a couple of home runs from their erstwhile superstar keystone combination of Marcus Semien and Corey Seager. Were you to carve this single game out as an example, without any of the baggage from the rest of the season, this is exactly the kind of game that was expected of the 2025 Rangers.

We’ll take ‘em when we get ‘em!

Players of the Game: After a few scoreless innings, this game appeared ready to ease into another low-scoring game featuring your Texas Rangers. However, with two-out and two-on in the bottom of the third, Semien connected for a three-run home run that opened the scoring.

The Rangers added two more in the fourth and a final run in the fifth but Semien’s blast was ultimately the difference-maker.

Up Next: The Rangers have tomorrow off before heading out West to take on the San Diego Padres beginning on Friday night.
