MONROE, La. (KNOE) – As West Monroe’s hometown hero waits for the MLB draft, Josh Pearson is back in the area giving baseball lessons.
The senior hit .289 with 7 homeruns on the season and provided great leadership to help lead them the College World Series.
Unfortunately, Pearson did not get an at bat in the College World Series Final.
“I was just kind of too busy having just having a blast. That was everything we worked for. And I mean, it would be really selfish of me to be thinking of myself in that moment at all. It was a great team accomplishment.”
Now that Pearson’s LSU Tiger career is now behind him, he says his experience was everything he could have asked for.
“Since day one, I’ve been committed or playing for LSU for almost half my life at this point. I mean it was everything you could ever ask for the fans, you always hear about them and everything and then you get there.”
