SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — Luke Fidler doubled to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning and scored to pull the Danville Senior Division all-stars within a run, but Athens stranded the tying run on base to win the Section 3 elimination game.
Danville trailed 3-0 in the middle of the third inning and 4-1 in the fifth before surging in front with a four-run rally. Athens answered with two in the sixth for the lead, then added an insurance run in the seventh.
