SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — Brendan Cooke belted a pair of home runs, and three Athens pitchers limited Danville to four hits during a walk-off win, 13-3 in six innings, in the opening game of the Section 3 Senior Division Baseball Tournament on Sunday.
Athens forged a 5-0 lead after three innings on Cooke’s homers — a two-run shot in the first and a three-run clout in the third. Cooke also scored four times, matching teammate Brady Flynn.
