The Colorado Rockies recalled Zach Agnos Thursday.

A relief pitcher, the Battlefield High School graduate made his Major League Baseball debut with Colorado April 20. Agnos is the first Battlefield graduate to make a Major League Baseball roster since the Haymarket-school opened in 2004.

He got off to a good start overall, recording a team-leading four saves, while posting a 1.50 ERA in his first 18 innings.

But after struggling over his last four outings, Colorado optioned Agnos to its Triple-A affiliate in Albuquerque June 15. 

In his two stints in Triple-A, Agnos pitched well, recording a 2.25 ERA in 12 innings with 14 strikeouts.

Overall, Agnos has a 5.48 ERA in 21.1 innings for Colorado.

Agnos spent spring training with the Rockies as a non-roster invitee. He impressed as a reliever, posting a 3.48 ERA with nine strikeouts and one walk in 10.1 innings.

He was re-assigned to minor-league camp March 22 and began the season with the Rockies’ Triple-A affiliate in Albuquerque. In six games with the Isotopes, Agnos had a 2.25 ERA with two saves.Â
