CHENEY, Wash. — The Lewis-Clark Cubs routed the Washington Awards 10-0 during the Spokane Wood Bat Tournament for American Legion baseball.
Cubs pitcher Grady Helm threw a complete game in five innings while fanning five batters and allowing no runs on two hits.
Kendrix Jones had two hits, including a double, and led Lewis Clark with four RBI. Grady Peterson and Caddis Sevy had two hits and one RBI apiece for Lewis-Clark (20-9).
Five separate Cubs players had two hits.
The game ended early due to the mercy rule.
The Cubs improved to 2-1 in the tournament.

The Pullman Posse vanquished the Lewis-Clark Bucs at the Skelton Memorial Tournament at Harris Field in Lewiston.
Rocky Karino-Evans had three hits, including a double, and totaled four RBI to lead the Posse (10-15).
Julian Delgado had two hits and three RBI. Owen Fitzgerald also had two hits and finished with two RBI.
Blyton Holman led the Bucs with two hits, including a double, and one RBI.
The Bucs (9-11) could not respond to the six-run third and fourth innings by the Posse.
