CLEVELAND — Trey Sweeney hit a three-run home run as part of a six-run 10th inning to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 7-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday afternoon at Progressive Field.
The Guardians (40-48) lost their 10th straight in particularly excruciating fashion as the Tigers (57-34) swept the series and extended their double-digit lead over their American League Central rivals.
