The Los Angeles Dodgers were swept by the Houston Astros at Dodger Stadium this weekend, being outscored 29-6 across the three-game set.
To make matters worse, three position players — Tommy Edman, Kiké Hernández and Teoscar Hernández — didn’t play on Sunday as they’re dealing with varying injuries.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts provided updates on each of the three players after the team’s 5-1 loss on Sunday.
Tommy Edman Injury
Tommy Edman has a hairline fracture in his right pinky toe. Robets said he is unlikely to go on the injured list.
Kiké Hernandez Injury
Kiké Hernández has left elbow soreness, and was unavailable on Sunday. He’s been dealing with the injury for a month.

Teoscar Hernandez Injury
Teoscar Hernández is dealing with soreness in his left foot. He underwent scans on Sunday that came back clean after fouling a ball off his foot Saturday night.

The Dodgers travel to Milwaukee for a three-game series beginning Monday. It remains to be seen if any of these three players will be unavailable. If that’s the case, the team could end up placing at least one of them on the IL to bring up another position player from Triple-A.
