HOUSTON — The Guardians have recalled outfielder Jhonkensy Noel and placed first baseman Kyle Manzardo on the family medical emergency List.
The move was announced before Monday night’s game against the Astros.
Manzardo is hitting .217 (55 for 254) with 11 doubles, 13 homers, 33 RBI and a .718 OPS
Noel started the season with the Guardians but hit .146 (15 for 103) with two homers and nine RBI in 46 games before being optioned to Triple-A Columbus.
At Columbus, Noel is hitting .280 (20 for 93) with five homers and 17 RBI.
A player can stay on the family medical emergency list for up to seven days.
