Honeoye baseball was unmatched during Finger Lakes West action this season. The Bulldogs rolled their way to an undefeated record in the league to claim the league title and those efforts were recognized during this year’s all-star selections.

Senior Owen Cuba was the leader on the mound for Honeoye (12-7, 11-0), as he tossed 43 1/3 innings during the 2025 season while finishing with a sub-two earned-run average. Cuba was 4-3 overall with a 1.94 ERA while striking out a whopping 84 batters.

He not only was a beast on the bump, he was a major factor at the plate. Cuba concluded with a .474 batting average while finishing with 14 runs batted in.

Cuba’s sophomore teammate, Kevin Schmitt ,batted .467 while producing two home runs and 21 runs batted in.

Senior Sam Clark led the Bulldogs with a .491 batting average and a 1.362 on-base plus slugging percentage.

Clark also provided an unbeaten record on the mound with a 3-0 mark while posting a 1.40 ERA.

The three of them each earned first team during this year’s all-star selections for the FL West.

The biggest threat to Honeoye this season was Naples (12-8, 8-4), which placed second in the league.

Senior Grady Grove and junior Ollie Bruen each made first team for Naples.

Grove punched out 50 batters in 31 innings this season while ending with a 3.16 ERA.

For Bruen, a quarter of his 16 hits this season came from three-baggers as he finished with a all-star-high four triples this year.

Both Naples and Honeoye received a No. 4 seed during their 2025 sectional runs. Honeoye for Class C2 while Naples in Class D.

But, it was Naples who was the only team in the league to advance to a sectional semifinal during this year’s postseason.

Red Jacket (6-13, 6-5) and Dundee/Bradford (6-11, 6-6) also received first-team selections.

Senior Dylan Henry earned first-team honors for Red Jacket, while seniors Jeremy Stiles and Alex Goltry both made first team for the combined program of Dundee/Bradford.

Henry was a perfect 17-for-17 on the base paths this season as he and Stiles were the lone two players on first team to not get thrown out this year.

Stiles, who went 6-for-6 on his steal attempts, batted .419 this season for Dundee/Bradford and concluded with an on-base percentage of .569.

For Goltry, he and Honeoye senior Christian Lead tied with an all-star high of 22 runs batted in. Lead earned second team honors.

To round out this year’s first-teamers, senior Sam Dufour and sophomore Bryce Racono each made the first team for South Seneca/Romulus (6-11, 3-9).

The two of them each batted over .400 this season. Dufour ended with a .455 batting average, while Racono concluded with a .429 clip.

Marcus Whitman (4-12, 4-8) and Harley/Allendale-Columbia (4-12, 3-9) also provided some competitive contests throughout this 2025 season as well.
