The Baltimore Orioles have 14 players currently on their Injured List off the 40-man roster, with four of those being catchers.

Pregame before the Orioles take on the New York Mets tonight, interim manager Tony Mansolino provided injury updates. Catcher Gary Sanchez won’t return for some time. Sanchez is out at least 8-to-10 weeks with a right knee injury. Sanchez has a PCL sprain from last Saturday in Atlanta.

Catcher Adley Rutschman could return soon this month post the MLB All-Star break. Rutschman is running and taking “dry swings” right now during his rehab with the team from an oblique.

Starting pitcher Cade Povich could also be returning soon after All-Star week. Povich has been on the IL with a hip injury. He’ll toss his second bullpen session this week.

Pitcher Albert Suarez is throwing and will pitch his first BP session at the end of this week. Suarez has been out since his first appearance in March with a shoulder injury.
