MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A Bedford woman has the chance to be on the field at the MLB All-Star Game.

Jacque Harrington, now in her third season as a Red Sox ball attendant, is one of four people nominated to be part of the All-Star Game ball crew.

Harrington, who played softball at Bedford High School, said landing the dream side hustle, working a few games each month, has been surreal.

“When I walk onto the field and just see the ambience and the environment of the stadium, it’s just really breathtaking, and every game I’m just so appreciative,” Harrington said.

She earned the nomination after making a standout play on Marathon Monday, snagging a foul ball that bounced off the tarp.

“I think being able to represent my city and the team I grew up rooting for on a national stage and being able to share the field with some of the best athletes in the world would be a huge honor,” Harrington said.

Fans can vote for Harrington at MLB.com/abcballot. The top two will be selected.

Voting ends at midnight Tuesday.
