Two new pitchers are with the Los Angeles Dodgers in Milwaukee ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Brewers, hinting at a roster move.
Right-handed pitchers Alexis Diaz and Landon Knack are with the team, likely to be called up either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Looks like Dodgers are freshening up their pitching staff after yesterday

Knack last pitched with the Dodgers a little over a month ago on June 5, and has totaled a 5.12 ERA across 38.2 big league innings this season.
Across nine appearances in Triple-A, seven of which were starts, he has amassed a 6.08 ERA over 47.1 innings of work. He has 40 strikeouts to 19 walks during this stretch.
As for Diaz, he has been struggling so far in Triple-A since being traded to the Dodgers after six abysmal appearances with the Cincinnati Reds. The former All-Star has a 9.64 ERA in 4.2 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
He is still working to get closer to his All-Star campaign of 2023 as his ERA has steadily increased since his rookie season of 2022.
Through 59 appearances as a rookie, his 1.84 ERA was enough for him to secure the No. 5 spot in Rookie of the Year voting. A 3.07 ERA with 37 saves is what the closer finished with to earn his 2023 All-Star honor, and his year-end ERA was up to 3.99 through 60 appearances in 2024.
After allowing eight earned runs in six frames for the Reds to kick off 2025, Diaz was dealt to LA in hopes of changing the tune of his ERA’s trajectory.
Knack was getting appearances with the Dodgers as both a starter and middle reliever this season, and got his ERA down to 4.58 through eight appearances. However, his most recent outing before being optioned back to Triple-A consisted of four earned runs allowed in just 3.1 innings.
Both of the pitchers who are with the team in Milwaukee have a familial connection to professional baseball, as Knack is the brother-in-law of former Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Will Craig, and Diaz is the younger brother of New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz.
