DETROIT, Mich. (WILX) – The Detroit Tigers will go for a three-game sweep of the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday, July 9 at Comerica Park. With inclement weather expected in the area, the start time has been pushed back from 1:10 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.
Tickets for Wednesday’s game remain valid for the new start time, according to the Tigers.
Detroit (59-34) enters Wednesday with the best record in Major League Baseball. The Tigers defeated the Rays in game two of their three-game series Tuesday night in comeback fashion, winning 4-2.

The Tigers currently lead the AL Central by 14 games with the Royals and Twins tied for second in the division.
