Were Detroit Tigers snubbed for 2025 MLB All-Star Game?

Evan and Scott Bentley of “Locked on Tigers” break down which Tigers are heading to the 2025 MLB All-Star Game.

Detroit Tigers fans headed to the series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday, July 9, will be able to take their time – and perhaps find a spot to shelter from the rain.

The Tigers announced a time change for Wednesday’s game on Tuesday, July 8, after their 4-2 win over the Rays. The game, previously scheduled for 1:10 p.m., was shifted four hours later, to 5:10 p.m. Wednesday. The forecast for 1 p.m. Wednesday is 78 degrees with a 20% chance of rain. The chance of rain was forecast Tuesday to drop to 15% around 5 p.m. and stay steady throughout the evening.

The Tigers have had numerous weather delays in the past month, both in Detroit and on the road. Most recently, their mid-June series with the Pittsburgh Pirates featured a rainout, leading to a doubleheader for the series finale.

After Wednesday’s game, the Tigers are off Thursday before opening a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners on July 11-13, for the team’s celebration of the 25th anniversary of the opening of Comerica Park.
