READING, PA. – Phillies number one prospect Aidan Miller sits down to discuss what the season has been like as they first half of the season comes to an end.

Aidan was asked how he would sum of the first half so far, “Yeah, I think the first half as a group has just been a lot of ups and downs, even myself. You know, I don’t think we’re really at the point where we’re playing where we want to be yet, but definitely playing better baseball as of late. Up and down the lineup, pitching staff, bullpen, everybody’s been doing better. I think just the start of it being the second half, it’s a new mindset for everybody. It kind of feels like a new season. It’s really helped us out.”

Miller spoke on how he has become a playmaker and effective on the basepath for the team, “Yeah, for sure. I think it’s just trying to find ways to win any way I can. You know, if things aren’t going well at the plate, things aren’t going well on the field, I’m just trying to be a spark any way I can. And, you know, that’s been helping me on the base best. And just trying to be aggressive and get as many stolen bases as I can and just trying to get in a scoring position, which ultimately helps our hitters get RBIs and helps us score more runs.”

The young prospect speaks on what he and the team will work toward in the second half of the season, “I think me and the team overall just being more consistent in every aspect, you know, consistent in the field, hitting, just being a more consistent player than I know I can be. You know, I don’t think it’s really shown as much as I wanted to this year. But, you know, it’s a new half and a ton of more baseball to play in a couple more months. So, you know, hoping to finish strong as a group and, you know, to make a push for the championship in the second half.”
