CORBIN — The pitching duo of Camden Hensley and Ryker Bowlin silenced Knox Central’s bats just enough to allow the North Laurel 10U All-Stars to pull off a 9-5 win on Tuesday while advancing to Wednesday’s District 4 Baseball Tournament championship.
Hensley tossed 4.1 innings, allowing six hits and two earned runs while striking out eight batters. Bowling pitched the final 1.2 innings, allowing no runs and no hits, and finished with five strikeouts.
North Laurel led 1-0 entering the fourth inning before scoring six runs and putting the game away.
John Clark came up big at the plate for North Laurel, delivering two hits and two RBI while scoring once.
Luke Morgan had two hits and scored twice while Conor Bales finished with two hits and a run scored.
Lucas McFarland had two hits and two RBI while Kooper Wibbles finished with a hit, two RBI, and two runs scored.
Mason Moore and Bowlin finished with a hit apiece while Hawk Hughes had an RBI and two runs scored. Bryson Roberts tallied an RBI and scored twice.
