HOUSTON (WKBN) — The Cleveland Guardians re-signed pitcher Kolby Allard to a minor league contract and recalled him from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday.

In a corresponding roster move, left-handed pitcher Tim Herrin was optioned to Triple-A Columbus.

Allard was designated for assignment by Cleveland on July 3 and elected free agency on Tuesday.

This season, Allard has posted a record of 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA in 16 games. In 35.1 innings, he has struck out 16 batters.

Herrin has appeared in 37 games for Cleveland out of the bullpen. He owns a record of 4.2 with a 3.99 ERA.
