DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers have a fifth representative heading to the All-Star game: Bat boy Frankie Boyd.
Fans voted to send to Atlanta alongside pitcher Tarik Skubal and starters Gleyber Torres, Riley Greene, and Javier Báez for the Midsummer Classic.
The Tigers have the best record in baseball, and a small portion of that comes from the bat boys and girls, including Boyd, who has gotten the seal of approval from pitcher Tommy Kahnle.
“I call Frankie the G.O.A.T. He does everything,” said Kahnle.
Greene issued the same sentiments as he wants Boyd to join him in Atlanta.
The Detroit Tigers have four players going to Atlanta for the All-Star game, but fans can add another key teammate in Frankie Boyd, who is the team’s Bat Boy, ahead of the July 8 deadline. (Copyright 2025 by WDIV ClickOnDetroit – All rights reserved.)
