Barring a late-season collapse, Arkansas baseball will play its final three true road games of the season this weekend in a top-five showdown on the Bayou.

The No. 2 Razorbacks (40-9, 17-7 SEC) open a three-game series against No. 4 LSU (38-11, 15-9) Friday night. The Hogs and Tigers are two of 12 teams across the country that rank inside the top-40 in runs scored and team ERA.

Since 1960, Arkansas is 44-77 against LSU, but the Razorbacks have had the upper hand in recent years and are 8-2 in their last 10 meetings. Last year, a top-ranked Arkansas swept the Tigers across three games in Baum-Walker Stadium.

The Hogs are coming off a weekend sweep over No. 1 Texas, but they’ve lost their last two road series in the SEC, recently dropping two of three games against Georgia and Florida.

LSU lost a road series against Texas A&M last week. The Tigers are 10-2 at home in the SEC this spring, with series victories over No. 12 Tennessee and No. 20 Alabama.
