BOWIE, Md. (KTRE) – Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Reading’s 8-0 loss to Chesapeake on Thursday night in game one of a doubleheader.
The right-hander entered the game in the sixth inning.
McMillon got Reed Trimble to strike out swinging for the first out of the inning. He then got Creed Willems to fly out to right field for the second out. Adam Retzbach singled before McMillon got Douglas Hodo III to line out to end the frame.
McMillon tossed 17 pitches, with 12 of them being strikes.
Reading (31-50) will continue their series with Chesapeake on Friday night.
