The Hill Group 5, Laurel Auto Group 2: In Sidman, Connor Blough (two RBIs), Logan Bradish and Branden Yanity each collected two hits as The Hill Group prevailed and clinched its first playoff berth in the franchise’s three-year history Thursday.

Hunter Thomas fanned four batters and allowed one run over five innings. Sid Grove doubled and stole a base. Logan Short scored twice.

Tyler Alexander tripled and scored a run for Laurel Auto Group, which produced three hits. Carson Shuglie and Nathan Silberman each drove in a run. Ethan Minerva stole two bases.

Martella’s Pharmacy 9, Infinity Practical Solutions 6: Carson Kensinger struck out 11 batters and allowed one unearned run over four innings, while Lucas Oleksa totaled two hits and three RBIs at the plate as Martella’s Pharmacy won the early game at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point.

Jack Messina (two hits, two runs, two RBIs), Oleksa and Ben Ryan each doubled. Boden Fernsler tripled. Colby Rearick scored twice and stole two bases. Ryan struck out four over two scoreless frames.

Martella’s Pharmacy led 6-0 after the third inning.

Andy Retassie led Infinity Practical Solutions with two hits. Five different players drove in a run. Four runs in the sixth pulled the team within one, but Martella’s Pharmacy added two in the bottom half.
