PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes is slated to start his second consecutive All-Star game for the National League on Tuesday night at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Major League Baseball made the announcement on Saturday night.

At just 23 years old, Skenes will be the youngest pitcher to start consecutive MLB All-Star Games.

Detroit pitcher Tarik Skubal will start for the American League squad.

This season, Skenes has posted a record of 4-8 with a major league-best 2.01 ERA for the Pirates. The 2024 NL Rookie of the Year has 131 strikeouts and 30 walks in 131 innings.

Skubal, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, is 10-3 with a 2.23 ERA for the Tigers this season. He has struck out 153 batters with just 16 walks in 121 innings.

The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 15 at Truist Park in Cumberland, Georgia. The game will be televised nationally at 8 p.m. on FOX Youngstown.
