Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli got so fired up over an umpire’s call that he argued it to the point of being ejected from Saturday’s home game against the San Francisco Giants.
Baldelli gave the umpire in question an earful during the bottom of the sixth inning and eventually earned the boot for arguing the call like he did.
On his way off the baseball diamond, Baldelli tossed his Twins hat off his head in frustration. As far as hat tosses go, this one was pretty epic.
Fox Sports game broadcasters Jason Benetti and Tom Verducci provided some hysterical commentary after Baldelli’s hat toss, which made the moment even better.
Some NSFW language to follow.
“That is now the second-most famous hat toss in this city, to Mary Tyler Moore.”
“I just was enjoying listening to it. Because like, when Olivier did ‘Hamlet,’ you don’t interrupt.”

Well, if you’re going to be ejected, you might as well do it in style!
