BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Former Hewitt-Trussville High School shortstop Steele Hall has been selected 9th overall in the 1st round of the MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds.
Hall, who will be 18 later in July, is a University of Tennessee commit.
Major League Baseball says Hall reclassified from the 2026 to the 2025 class and is one of the youngest players in the draft.
He played attended Daphne High School his first three years of high school before transferring to Hewitt-Trussville for his senior year.
