
CUMBERLAND, Georgia (KMID/KPEJ) – After winning two national championships with LSU baseball, pitcher Chase Shores heads to the Los Angeles Angels in the second round of the MLB draft with the 47th pick.
During Shores’ time in Baton Rouge, he had a 5-4 record, starting in 13 games. Most notably, Shores played a key role in this year’s national championship series against Coastal Carolina, where he gave up one hit and threw for four strikeouts in 2.2 innings pitched.
