Cincinnati Bearcat Landyn Vidourek’s professional baseball dreams have come true.The Bearcat outfielder was drafted in the third round of this year’s MLB Draft Sunday, being taken by the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers with the 104th overall pick.Vidourek is the 52nd player in program history to be drafted and the fourth to be taken in the top 10 rounds since 2020.“Landyn is arguably our most improved player over the past two years,” head coach Jordan Bischel said in a press release. “He has worked incredibly hard to go from one of the most talented players to one of the best players in the Big 12.”Leading the Big 12 with 39 stolen bases, Vidourek’s 14 home runs were the 11th most in the conference. The Hamilton, Ohio native added 43 RBI and hit .304 en route to an honorable mention on the All-Big 12 team.Each of his numbers improved in 2025 from 2024, where he hit just six home runs, drove in 31 RBI and stole 18 bases.His 65 career steals are the fourth most in program history.Dubbed “Ohio’s best prospect,” by MLB.com, Vidourek’s performance at this year’s draft combine caught the eye of scouts.
