The draft is well underway, the Home Run Derby is tonight and baseball takes a break. The Derby this year is filled with players that maybe the average fan is aware of, but the casual fan will not have much of an idea who a few are.
For my money, I’d be putting money on Oneil Cruz to win this event. While it’s not a “who can hit the ball the hardest” event, he’s still got some shocking power to all fields, plus he has the incentive of this being his only thing he’s doing this week for the All-Star festivities. Feels like a good combination for him to take home the hardware.
