OMAHA – The Norfolk Elkhorn Valley Bank juniors saw their five game winning streak come to an end Saturday, falling for the third time this season to Battle Warriors (Omaha Westside) 7-3 in the Westside Tournament.
A single by Aiden Phillips in the top of the first would get Norfolk on the board first, but the Battle Warriors would take the lead in the bottom of the second off a three-run homer by Smith Dowse.
Battle Warriors would add to their lead in the bottom of the third after Milo Barber grounded into a fielder’s choice; Gibson Jernigan grounded out; and Norfolk committed an error, each scoring a run.
