Here’s what the Rangers are getting in Siary.

Texas Rangers draft Evan Siary after strong finish to 2025 season

Siary began the 2025 season in the bullpen, but eventually established himself as the Bulldogs’ Saturday starter. As the season went on, the junior only got better.

The Columbus native who attended Starkville Academy had some of his best starts down the stretch of the season. That was highlighted by eight shutout innings with 15 strikeouts against Ole Miss on May 9. The 15 strikeouts were the most by a Bulldog pitcher since Will Bednar in the 2021 College World Series.

The right-handed pitcher finished with a 4.00 ERA, a stark improvement from his first two seasons that had ERAs above 7.00.

He was not ranked in MLB.com’s top 250 prospect rankings.
