D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) – On Monday, the dreams of a former D’Iberville High alum came true during the 397th round of the 2025 MLB Draft.
Former Mississippi State and current Louisiana Tech pitcher Logan Forsythe was selected by the Atlanta Braves with the 397th pick in the 13th round.
After transferring to Louisiana Tech from Mississippi State in 2025, he made 24 appearances with three starts, leading the pitching staff with 71 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .211 batting average.
During his senior year at D’Iberville, he pitched 48.1 innings with a 0.94 ERA and 101 strikeouts, which set a program record, helping lead the Warriors to back-to-back district championships in 2022 and 2023.
