Former Johnstown Mill Rats outfielder Jake Casey was drafted in the 15th round by the Toronto Blue Jays Monday.
Casey, a senior at Kent State University, hit .356 with a .500 on-base percentage, a .736 slugging percentage, 20 doubles, four triples, 17 homers, 55 RBIs and 20 stolen bases in 2025. Over four seasons, Casey compiled a .277 average with 155 runs, 149 hits, 34 doubles, eight triples, 41 homers, 127 RBIs, 43 stolen bases, a .411 on-base percentage and a .599 slugging percentage in 155 games.
