Columbia — Tolton baseball’s Cam Lee heard his name called during the final day of the Major League Baseball Draft.

On Monday, the Baltimore Orioles selected Lee in the ninth round with the number 274th overall pick.

Lee spent one year at Mineral Area Junior College with a .444 batting average, 13 home runs and 46 runs batted in.

The former Trailblazer was also a first team all-American at the junior college level.

At Tolton, Lee was a part of the school’s first state baseball state championship in 2022.

He also played football and ran track during his time in Columbia.
